Slot: We were in survival mode, it will be a different match at Anfield

Liverpool was defeated and outplayed by Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes (2:0), and Reds coach Arne Slott is not losing hope ahead of the second leg next Tuesday on the Isle of Man.

"PSG were a far better team and could have scored more than two goals, but Liverpool showed fighting spirit," Slot said after the match.

The English giant practically did not create a single promising opportunity, and in the end it went well, because the rival had several chances to probably settle the match.

"Of course we could have been better, we played in survival mode for most of the game, and maybe we're in that mode at this point in the season," said Slot, who believes in a turnaround:

"The game at Anfield will be completely different. We're glad we're still in the game," the Liverpool manager said.

Numerous island media outlets have been writing in recent days that Slot could be fired if he is relegated from PSG.
