Simonović hosted the leaders of the Boxing Federation of Montenegro

The President of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee, Dušan Simonović, met today with the President of the Boxing Federation of Montenegro, Aleksandar Klemenko, and the Secretary General, Marija Čivović, on the occasion of the awarding of the organization of the World Boxing Championship for the age of 19, which will be held in Budva in October. Around a thousand boxers, coaches and officials from around the world are expected to participate in the event.

During the meeting, the importance and significance of the organization of this international sporting event for Montenegro was discussed, especially considering that it is a world championship in youth competition, which brings together a large number of young athletes from different countries.

During the meeting, BSCG representatives presented the basic plans of the organization, as well as the activities that are to come in the coming period, emphasizing the importance of timely preparation and coordination of all competent institutions, so that the organization of the competition is carried out in accordance with international standards.

-The Montenegrin Olympic Committee, as the umbrella sports organization, will monitor activities related to the preparation and implementation of this event within its jurisdiction, with the expectation that the organization will contribute to the promotion of sports and the affirmation of young athletes, emphasized President Simonović, pointing out that the Boxing Federation has previously proven that it has the organizational skills and experience to properly organize such demanding tournaments.

The meeting also highlighted the importance of organizing international competitions in younger age categories, as an important segment of the development of sports and creating conditions for the progress of young athletes in Montenegro.
