The letter was signed by the sports director of European Aquatics, Apostolos Tsagarkakis, referring to an earlier decision of February 27, which ordered the match to take place, despite the fact that the proceedings before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) are ongoing.
The letter states that the final decision of CAS is expected tomorrow by 12:00 Central European Time, but that, until it is made, the match should be played as planned, and both clubs are requested to take all necessary steps to organize the match at the scheduled time.
"Dear clubs,
We refer to our communication dated February 27, 2026, in which we informed you of the TWPC's decision of the same date regarding the Eurocup Round of 16 (EA Eight Finals) matches between VPK Primorac Kotor and VK Jug Adriatic Osiguranje.
As already announced, and pending the final decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), which is expected no later than tomorrow, March 4, 2026 at 12:00 Central European Time (CET), the first match will be played tomorrow, March 4, 2026, at 19:00, in Podgorica, Montenegro.
In this regard, we kindly ask VPK Primorac Kotor to take all necessary steps to ensure that the match takes place as scheduled. We also ask VK Jug Adriatic Osiguranje to make all necessary preparations to participate in the match at the designated venue in Podgorica.
"We thank you for your cooperation and urgent action on this matter," the letter states.
Primorac states that, in addition to their legal team, the European Aquatics Law Firm is also involved in the proceedings, and reminds that the court has informed both parties that the decision on the interim measure at the request of the Kotor club will be made tomorrow by noon.
The club believes that this letter is a classic pressure on Primorac and the court, violating procedural actions and prejudging a decision that has yet to be made.
