Nakon ubjedljive pobjede u prvom meču (104:81), izabranici Andreja Žakelja večeras su u „Morači“ morali nešto više da se pomuče, ali su slavili rezultatom (94:84) i već na prvoj meč-lopti stigli do novog trofeja i još jedne „duple krune“.
This is the 18th Montenegrin championship title for the Podgorica club since the restoration of independence, continuing a streak of dominance in the domestic championship. Only Mornar managed to lift the national champion's trophy in 2018.
The "Students" led 3:0 and 7:3, but the "Blues" turned it around to 9:7.
The last time SC Derby had an 11:9 lead, followed by a 17:6 run by the current champion, so after the opening quarter the scoreboard showed 26:17 in favor of the formal guest.
At the very start of the second quarter, Andrej Žakelj's team gained a double-digit lead for the first time – 28:17. SC Derbi halved the deficit and came close to 30:24, but Budućnost, with a new 10:2 run, pulled away to plus 14 – 40:26 in the 16th minute. Jogi Ferel and his teammates led by 47:34, but the home team, with a 15:2 run at the end of the second and beginning of the third quarter, reached a complete tie – 49:49.
After that, the game was mostly basket-for-basket, and the "blues" then made a new series of ten consecutive points for 68:56. However, Mijović's team did not give up, and after a three-pointer by Nikola Pavlićević from the corner, they came close to 68:61, and before the decisive period there was a plus eight for the defending champion - 70:62.
In the opening seconds of the fourth quarter, Nikola Pavlićević fouled Fletcher Magee on a three-pointer and then earned a technical foul. The former Derby shooter hit all four shots for a 74:62 lead.
With less than seven minutes left, Ferrell hit a three-pointer with a foul, and then made an extra throw – 82:68, and even then it was clear that the championship trophy would remain in the hands of Buducnost.

At the end of the match, the 15-year-old super-talented Lija Radović also got a chance to win his fourth title with the Buducnost team.
Najefikasniji kod pobjednika bio je Džeri Butsijel sa 24 poena. Pratili su ga Jogi Ferel sa 18 poena i 10 asistencija, Flečer Megi dodao je takođe 18, a Nikola Tanasković imao je 16, uz 14 skokova.
On the other side, Darius Johnson led the way with 18 points. Mateo Drežnjak scored 15, Filip Andjušić 14, Nikola Pavlićević 13, and Emir Hadžibegović 11.
