After more than 14 months of hiatus, Danka Kovinić is returning to the field.

Our best tennis player will compete in the Challenger in Istanbul, and her first rival will be the young Latvian Adelina Lahinova, ranked 610th on the WTA list. That match is scheduled for tomorrow, but the exact date is still unknown.

Danka played her last match in Turkey, in Antalya, at the end of February last year, when she was eliminated at the start of the tournament by Hungarian Amarisa Chiara Tor, who won in three sets.

Kovinić has had a lot of injury problems in the past, primarily with her lower back, and now she is ready for a big comeback.
