Since the dissolution of the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro, Partizan and Red Star have won nine Serbian basketball championship titles each, but this season the country will have its third champion - Spartak, like last season, shocked the "red and white" in the semifinals of the Final Four in Niš (90:89), while FMP took the crown from Partizan (92:79).

The heroes of Subotica are two players from Podgorica – Igor Drobnjak was the best with 21 points, seven assists and five rebounds, and Danilo Nikolić scored 18 points, six steals and two assists, including one very important one in the last minute.

The match winner was Olivier Henlan, who scored with one and a half seconds left to seal the victory. He was the third player to score in double figures on the winning team (12).

Jordan Nvora with 25, Ognjen Dobrić with 19 and Jered Butler with 16 points led the team, which was led by Milan Tomic after parting ways with Saša Obradović.

There was much less excitement in the first semi-final in "Čair", as FMP led the entire time against a weakened and not very interested Partizan.

Filip Barna from Subotica was the most efficient player in the winning team with 26 points, Lazar Stefanović scored 17, the same as Partizan's Karlik Jones, while Arijan Lakić scored 15.
