Barcelona's players asked for a penalty, but Kovac did not say so, nor did the VAR room, nor the referees at the touchline. The rules state that the ball must be "still" and only then can a player take it from any part of the penalty area.
"It was a clear penalty and a second yellow card for Atletico. What's the point of VAR if it's there and not used? I really can't understand that. I'm not even sure it was a red card for Pau Cubarsi," Flick was resigned.
Barça was a better rival and with one player less, Lamin Jamal tried and played the team, but after the match he could not accept the defeat, he was visibly depressed.
"Lamin is frustrated. He played a fantastic game from start to finish, both in defense and attack. As I said yesterday, he is only 18 years old, he is playing phenomenally.
