Fis overtakes Rublev to the title in Barcelona

French tennis player Arthur Fiss won the ATP tournament in Barcelona.

Fis, the 30th ranked tennis player in the world, defeated 15 lower ranked player, Russian Andrei Rublev, 2:0 – 6:2, 7:6 (2) in the grand final after exactly 100 minutes of play.

Rublev opened the match well, taking a 2:0 lead, but Artur won six games in a row and took the opening set 6:2.

The second set was far more uncertain and exciting. Fis led 5:2, at 5:4 he squandered three tied match points, and Andrej went from 2:5 to 6:5 and was in a position to take the match to the third set. However, the Frenchman returned the break and in the tie-break with seven points in a row (losing 2:0) finished the job in two sets.
