The Reds tied with the Blues and Yellows in second place with an efficiency of two wins and the same number of victories, and more importantly, they celebrated more convincingly than they did in the first round, when they were defeated in Podgorica by the same rival (65:71). First place with the maximum efficiency is held by Bulgaria.
She entered the match well. Nikolina Ilic. The Buducnost power forward scored 12 points in six minutes and 45 seconds of play in the first quarter, with only one miss. Ilić shot 3/4 for three, 1/1 for two and 1/1 from the free throw line, with three rebounds and one steal. The Reds held their rivals scoreless for almost four minutes. The Ukrainians' empty run was interrupted by an experienced Alina Yagupova in the 13th minute and reached the tenth point.
It was not expected that our girls, with a modest roster, would continue at the same pace. Things started to get tough, especially on offense, as they only scored six points in the remaining eight minutes and 55 seconds (three-pointers by Leković and Bojana Kovacevic).
As in Podgorica, the defense was an unsolvable enigma Alina Yagupova. The experienced Ukrainian scored 23 points in the first half.
