A harmless, but warning defeat before the European Championship: Sweden convincing in Bar

Just three days after securing a historic berth at the European and World Championships, Montenegro's cadets suffered a convincing defeat to Sweden in Bar (5:0) in the final round of the U17 EURO qualifiers.

After the great success and emotional release, a certain relaxation was visible, which can be attributed to youth, but must also serve as a useful warning before the European Championship, which starts in less than two months.

Coach Radovan Kavaja, as expected, shuffled the cards in this match and gave a chance mainly to players who had less playing time (or none at all) in the duels with Greece and Norway.

The Scandinavians were dominant from start to finish, and they practically decided the winner in the first half.

Švedska je povela u 25. minutu golom Visentea Idalga koji je pogodio poslije kornera nakon što je Danilo Koljčević ispustio loptu.

In the 39th minute, Lukas Person doubled the visitors' lead, and six minutes later, Stefan Nedić, eager to eliminate the danger, checked his goalkeeper for 3:0.

Oliver Manson made it 4:0 with a beautiful volley from 10-12 meters diagonally from the right side.

The final score was set by reserve player Ryan Bardaggi (brother of Barcelona player Roni) after a team action similar to indoor football.

Montenegro finished the qualifiers with two wins and one loss with six points, just like Greece, who have a better head-to-head record. Sweden is third with four, Norway last with one point.
