Baltić wins the 27th "Ultramarathon Montenegro"

Branislav Baltić iz AK "Dionis” iz Bara pobjednik je ultramaratona na 50 kilometara i ujedno novi prvak Crne Gore.

Baltić won with a time of 3:35:04. Second place went to Petar Drinčić from Podgorica with a time of 3:52:27, and third was Danilo Vešović from Podgorica with a time of 4:32:55.

The youngest participant in the event was Vasilije Ostojić, while the oldest participant was 82-year-old Spaso Palovski from Podgorica, who participated in all events along with Radovan Radulović from Subotica, whose father Ilija was the first Montenegrin to run a marathon.

The champion of Montenegro for 2026 was also Branislav Baltić from AK "Dionis", who also won the "Mile Božović Trophy". Second place went to Petar Drinčić from AK "Sparta" from Podgorica, and third to Aris Šabotic from AK "Mornar" Bar.

As part of the event, the Montenegrin Road Championship was held for seniors and juniors at 10,000 meters and seniors and juniors at 5,000 meters. Slađana Pejović, a member of the AK "Nikšić", triumphed in the senior women's race with a result of 17:58. Second place was won by Jelena Ivković from the AK "Nikšić" from Nikšić with a result of 20:01, while third place went to the athlete of the AK "Mornar" from Bar, Ana Krivokapić, with a result of 20:12.

In the junior category, first place was won by the athlete AK "Milenijum" from Podgorica, Jelena Miladinović, with a score of 24:36, second place went to her clubmate Nina Vujisić with a score of 28:25.

In the senior 10,000 meter race, Miljan Kukuličić from AK "Mornar" from Bar triumphed with a score of 32:44. Second place went to Todor Nikolić from AK "Nikšić" from Nikšić with a score of 34:52, while third place went to Edis Dautoović from AK "Milenijum" from Podgorica with a score of 35:53.

Before the start of the event, the President of the Athletics Federation of Montenegro, Milorad Vuletić, presented special plaques for their contribution to the development and popularization of road running in Montenegro, as well as for their participation in all previous ultramarathons, to Radovan Radulović from Subotica, Nenad Ivanović from Andrijevica and Svetlana Useinović from Bar, who has been a regular participant in this event for the past few years, and as a veteran, has performed at numerous similar events in Montenegro.

Also, in front of the event management, Golden Plaques were awarded to:

The Secretariat for Sports of the Capital City of Podgorica (the award was received by the Assistant Secretary of the Secretariat for Sports of the Capital City Svetozar Nikolić); Radio and Television of Montenegro for its continuous contribution to the organization of the event (the award was received by Nela Božović, President of the Sports Society of RTCG), the Gymnasium "Slobodan Škerović" from Podgorica, which continuously participates in this and other events organized by the Association. The award was received by Professor Marija Mitrović, a great lover of the "queen of sports", who, together with her students, makes a significant contribution to participation in such and similar events.

Around 200 competitors from Serbia, England, South Africa, Ukraine, Russia and Montenegro took part in the event, in both male and female competitions.

The competition was organized by ATK "Podgorica Marathon", under the auspices of the Athletics Federation of Montenegro, the Ministry of Sports and Youth of Montenegro, the Montenegrin Olympic Committee and the Secretariat for Sports of the Capital City of Podgorica, on the Boulevard of the Montenegrin Serdara on a certified circular track of one kilometer in length.
