Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti has announced his squad for the friendly matches against France and Croatia, and superstar Neymar is not on it.

"Neymar may or may not be at the World Cup. If he is not 100% fit, then he will not be there. If there is a chance that he can get into the right form during the tournament itself, he could be in the team. The reason I did not call Neymar is because he is not 100% fit, and I need players who are fully fit," Ancelotti said.

He stressed that the list is made up of players who are 100% physically fit, due to two very important and intense matches in a short period of time and travel. He also stated that some players are out of the team due to injuries.

Neymar admitted that he was disappointed and sad that he did not receive a call-up.

"Of course I'm disappointed and sad that I wasn't invited. But my focus remains the same — working day by day, training by training, game by game," said the former Barcelona and PSG ace, adding:

"I believe we will achieve our goal. There is one final list left and my dream still lives on. That's it – we are in this together," he concluded.
