The Serbian government has made a new decision to further reduce excise duties on fuel, which will be lower by a total of 25 percent compared to what is stipulated in the Law on Excise Duties, in order to prevent a higher increase in the prices of petroleum products.

According to that decision, the excise tax level was further reduced from 20 to 25 percent compared to the legal level.

As announced in the Official Gazette, until April 24, 2026, the excise duty on unleaded gasoline will amount to 54 dinars per liter, while for diesel it is set at 55.53 dinars.

In mid-March, the Serbian government made a decision to temporarily reduce the amount of excise taxes on oil derivatives by 20 percent.

As stated by the Ministry of Finance, due to the rise in crude oil prices on the world market, the state is taking on the burden and reducing the amounts of excise taxes on leaded gasoline, unleaded gasoline, or gasoline and gas oils or diesel.

The maximum retail price of Eurodiesel until April 17th will be 217 dinars, and gasoline will cost 191 dinars per liter.
