Minors testify against suspects
It is suspected that the two of them set fire to paper on the evening of November 17, while staying with friends in Vjesnik's solitaire, after which the fire flared up and spread. Although there are still no results of the investigation or expert examination, i.e. it is not known exactly what was the cause of the fire, the prosecution charges these two teenagers for one of the biggest accidents that happened in Zagreb.
The key evidence is the testimony of two minors who were also in Vjesnik that evening and who stated that they saw the 18-year-olds set the paper on fire.
Oil reserves were discovered in the basement of the solitaire
Index learns that it was later determined that there were 50 liters of oil in the basement of Vjesnik, which was supposed to be used as fuel for heating, and it is a real luck that the fire did not penetrate to the basement.
There were as many as 15 young people in Vjesnik on the night of the fire
In the meantime, several more witnesses were questioned who, among other things, stated that on the night of the fire there were as many as 15 young people in the skyscraper. As they explained, they did not all come together, but each of them for some reason walked through Vjesnik's deserted corridors.
This, also according to unofficial information, was confirmed by video surveillance footage, which shows a much larger number of people than the original number moving around the building and entering it, he writes. Index.
