"The decision of the GP URA body, i.e. the Municipal Board, is that we will not sign the initiative coming from the Party of European Progress, and if there is a vote, and it probably will, because we saw that the DPS will support their initiative, we will vote for the dismissal of Ms. Borovinić Bojović," he said. Miodrag Djuranovic from the Civic Movement URA.
When asked what their position is, the Preokret Movement says they do not want to participate in a simulation of democracy. They criticize the current government, claiming that the way the parliament functions shows serious political problems.
"First, the government is trying to govern with 27 out of 59 councilors, secondly, after the initiative to change the mandate, such obstruction has been practically legalized under the pretext of a functional parliament. As for further initiatives, all actors are free to agree and to announce to the public what they have agreed. Our goal is not to participate in a simulation of democracy. If the DNP provides them with a majority, let them say so openly and that will give them all the answers," he said. Mirza Krnic from the Turnaround Movement.
While there is public talk of a possible majority, the actual balance of power remains uncertain. It should soon be known whether this is a serious attempt to change the government or another political maneuver by the opposition without a concrete epilogue.
