The Vice President of the Municipality of Pljevlja, Darko Gazdić, has resigned from that position. This was announced by the Mayor of the Municipality, Dario Vraneš, at the session of the Pljevlja Municipal Assembly.

Vraneš said on that occasion that Gazdić resigned this morning, adding that the deputy mayor had his support for everything he wanted to do, reports RTV Pljevlja.

He pointed out that Gazdić did his job honorably and honestly.

He also said that he did not hinder any senior official, not even the deputy mayor, in his work, and that he had a fair cooperation with Gazdić.

Darko Gazdić was delegated to the position on behalf of the Europe Now Movement, a political entity that left power in Pljevlja a few days ago.

"We do not want to be part of a government in which there are no clear rules, political agreements and accountability to citizens. Without a coalition agreement and basic trust between partners, it is not possible to run a stable and responsible local government or implement projects of importance for the development of Pljevlja," the Pljevlja PES committee stated at the time.

They announced that they will continue to act as a responsible and constructive political entity in the local parliament - "they will support all decisions that are in the interest of citizens, but will equally resolutely point out any political irresponsibility."
