"Obviously scared to death by the unstoppable growth of New Serbian Democracy and its contribution to the fight against organized crime and corruption, the mafia and its close associates are these days marketing forgeries that were made by structures close to drug clans and the former regime six years ago, for the needs of the then election campaign and attempts to stop the victory of the then opposition in the fateful elections," the party announced.
The NSD reacted after a photograph of an alleged official National Security Agency (ANB) ID card in the name of Andrija Mandic, the current President of the Parliament of Montenegro, which was exchanged on the Sky application.
"It seems they have forgotten that New Serbian Democracy and its president are a tough nut to crack, even by much more serious players than these, whose goal is obviously to try to exert pressure so that our party does not vote again for the laws on the Police Administration and the National Security Agency, which will deal a crucial blow to the mafia and structures close to it that are still in the security sector," the party said in response.
The NSD is telling citizens who want Montenegro to be completely free from criminal clans and drug cartels not to worry.
"The new Serbian democracy and the current parliamentary majority will always be on the front line when it comes to fighting this cancer that has done its utmost to destroy our country. Regardless of everything that is happening, today all NSD deputies will strongly support the laws on the Police Administration and the National Security Agency again," they added in their reaction.
As they point out, the fight against the mafia is their priority, and especially the fight against the tentacles of that octopus that are in the Police Directorate and other security services, and therefore they add, "we say again - vetting is desperately needed."
"No subterfuge, forgery or bad intentions will stop us from ensuring the conditions for the security system and the judiciary to finally bring the fight against organized crime and corruption to an end. Everything that is not good must fall away, and what can contribute to this fight should remain and must achieve the goal of Montenegro eradicating organized crime and corruption," they conclude in their response.
