Milatović received letters of credence from newly appointed ambassadors of Hungary, Japan, the Philippines and Ecuador

Montenegrin President Jakov Milatović received today in Cetinje the letters of credence from the newly appointed ambassadors of Hungary, Peter Hetei, Japan, Tsucumi Naohiro, the Philippines, Maria Elena Palo Algabra, and Ecuador, Estevan Asaro Moscoso Boman, announced Milatović's Public Relations Office.

President Milatović welcomed the ambassadors and wished them a successful mandate in Montenegro, expressing his belief that bilateral relations, political dialogue and cooperation in numerous areas of common interest will be further strengthened during their diplomatic engagement.

In the conversation with the Hungarian Ambassador, the strong alliance within NATO was emphasized, as well as Hungary's continued and principled support for Montenegro's European path.

During the conversation with the Japanese Ambassador, it was emphasized that Montenegro and Japan foster stable and friendly relations based on mutual respect and strong development cooperation, with significant room for improving economic and technological cooperation, especially in the areas of energy, infrastructure, innovation and tourism.

The need to deepen bilateral relations, especially in the areas of tourism, economy, education and labor exchange, was discussed with the Ambassador of the Philippines, with an emphasis on the importance of strengthening institutional cooperation and connections with the Indo-Pacific region.

During the meeting with the Ambassador of Ecuador, the possibilities of intensifying political dialogue and establishing concrete forms of cooperation were emphasized, especially in the field of economics and multilateral initiatives.

"It was jointly assessed that there is significant potential for improving cooperation with all of the above countries, both bilaterally and multilaterally, while confirming Montenegro's commitment to strengthening international partnerships and playing an active role in contemporary global trends," the statement concluded.
