"At the conference, Montenegro closed the negotiation chapter 21 - Trans-European Networks, which belongs to the cluster of four negotiation processes. The closure of this chapter is a clear indicator that Montenegro has the capacity to connect, improve and develop transport, energy and telecommunications systems in accordance with European standards," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Montenegro announced.
As the department points out, the holding of the Intergovernmental Conference and the closing of this chapter confirms the continuity of reform activities and represents a strong signal of the European Union's confidence in Montenegro's progress in the accession process.

Minister Ibrahimović points out that by closing this chapter, we have further demonstrated that we have the capacity to improve our transport, energy and telecommunications systems in line with European standards.

In the final phase of negotiations, he emphasizes, the goal is clear - to use knowledge and political credibility to fulfill all remaining obligations and for Montenegro to become the next member of the European Union.
"This is another important step closer to Montenegro's European future," Ibrahimović concluded.
