The wife of the President of Montenegro, Milena Milatović, is participating in the inaugural summit of the global initiative "Cultivating the Future Together: The Global Coalition for Our Children" at the invitation of the First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump.

The summit brought together spouses of heads of state from around the world, with the aim of strengthening international cooperation through improving children's digital education in the field of innovation and the application of new technologies.

During her address titled "Building an Innovative and Safe Digital Future for Every Child: Montenegro's Path to Inclusive Digital Education", Milatović also presented specific initiatives that Montenegro is already implementing:

“The Digital School platform, which was originally developed in response to the challenges during the pandemic, has today grown into a national digital learning environment that offers thousands of online courses for students and teachers. In parallel, through the establishment of EdTech labs, schools are being transformed into innovative spaces where students have the opportunity to learn through practical work in areas such as robotics, programming, and artificial intelligence.”

Milatović emphasized that digital transformation must be inclusive, so that every child, regardless of gender, socio-economic status or ability, has equal access to quality education. Special emphasis was placed on encouraging girls to become more actively involved in STEM fields and recognize themselves as future leaders and innovators.

Milena Milatović's participation in this summit represents a strong international recognition of Montenegro's efforts in the field of digital transformation, as well as the first step towards launching a broader national initiative aimed at developing the digital competences of children and youth.

In the coming period, Milatović, in cooperation with innovative companies, educational institutions, the Council of Youth Initiatives of the President of Montenegro, non-governmental organizations and international partners, will work on designing and implementing specific projects and programs aimed at strengthening digital literacy, internet safety and responsible use of new technologies among children and young people.

Through participation in this global coalition, Montenegro further confirms its commitment to international cooperation, knowledge exchange and application of best practices, with the aim of creating a safe, inclusive and encouraging digital environment for all generations.
