"The messages we have seen are open outpourings of hatred, calls for violence and messages that bear the chilling signature of those who want fear to reign in Montenegro again. When you tell someone that they will be killed, when you call for blood, pits and the extermination of political dissenters, then you have long since left the zone of politics and stepped into the zone of the most dangerous extremism," Bogdanović said.
He points out that the Democrats have reason to suspect that these are not isolated incidents, but an organized botnet that systematically poisons public space, spreads hatred and targets people. The public has the right to know who is financing this digital poisoning, who is managing these cowardly profiles and who is giving orders for threat campaigns from the shadows. If what we seriously suspect is confirmed, that behind this network are structures close to Aco Đukanović, Aco Mijajlović and the top leadership of the DPS, then the whole of Montenegro will once again see that behind their alleged European mask lies the same old school of hatred, persecution, violence, disgusting accusations, attempts at discrediting, which we have witnessed for decades, and which are financed from the underground.
"You will not break us with death threats, you will not stop us with hate speech, and you will not force us to bow our heads before the cowards who hide behind fake profiles and other people's political orders. The more monstrous your threats are, the clearer it is how much the truth hurts you and how much you are afraid of fighting against what you have been creating for years," Bogdanović said.
The Democrats called on the competent institutions to urgently identify and prosecute all those behind these threats. Any delay, Bogdanović emphasizes, would be a message that political terror is allowed. And it is not. In a democratic and free Montenegro, no one will have the right to threaten people with death because of their name, position or political struggle.
"This is an attack on the right of every person to speak freely, to fight honestly and not to fear that they will become the target of a sick gang because of the truth they speak. That is why this fight is both a political fight, but also a fight for elementary civilization. And in this fight we will not back down even a millimeter," Bogdanović concludes.
