"It is my pleasure to show the citizens of Podgorica where their money is going. So, this is a crushing plant planned for the future Quarry of the Putevi company. The local company, as you all know, expressed the desire and need to have its own quarry due to the circumstances in which it is very difficult to obtain fractions for asphalt. It costs us a lot, about two million per year," said the director of the Putevi GP. Rados Zecevic.
The machine, with a capacity of 400 cubic meters per hour, processes the material through several phases, explains Zečević.
"400 cubic meters of material are processed there, various processes are carried out and in the end the fraction you want is obtained. Therefore, this is the capacity that is optimal for what we are going to do for our needs and, according to some dynamics, it really should have been located on the plot in Kuči," emphasized Zečević.
He adds that the machines will be used even before the official start of the planned works.
"It's a shame that it's already here and it's not working because we need it. It's a shame because we paid for it and received it in record time and I didn't expect it to appear so quickly because usually this equipment takes up to a year to arrive," said Zečević.
Although they are expensive, Zečević points out that the machines are cost-effective and necessary for every capital city.
"Together with services, a two-and-a-half-year warranty, training for the team that will be there, and some other accompanying items, it costs 1,142,000 euros, excluding VAT," said Zečević.
By October, the Roads Department will also acquire a machine that can patch potholes on the spot, so roads will be repaired quickly and efficiently, concluded Zečević.
