The DPS previously announced that they would submit documentation on the case to the prosecutor's office and called on Mayor Saša Mujović to dismiss Zečević. The director of "Putevi" claims that the entire procedure was carried out in accordance with the law and calls on the opposition to report the case to the competent institutions if they doubt its legality.
The DPS also says that Mayor Saša Mujović should dismiss the director of "Putevi", Radoš Zečević, claiming that the work was carried out outside legal procedures - on the other hand, in his usual manner, Zečević strongly rejects the accusations.
"Their wish will be to collect all this as material, have the next elections, and then hand it all over. I understand that they are doing what the opposition is doing and they want no one to do anything so that they can come to the forefront," emphasized the director of Putevi, Radoš Zečević.
Zečević believes that the political accusations are unfounded and that this is an attempt to politicize the entire case, claiming that the procedure began even earlier and that the project received all the necessary approvals from the relevant authorities.
"Radoš Zečević, the entire job was done by the Capital City Property Administration while Injac was mayor and completed now that Mujović is in charge, and people who know the procedure are clear that the government must give its consent to such a decision, and it did, and ultimately the local parliament gave it, so my colleagues from DPS had an item on the agenda and then they could problematize the entire job," said Zečević.
DPS also questions the wishes of the residents of Kuče regarding the quarry – they claim that the residents are against the construction. On the other hand, Zečević assures that Putevo has excellent cooperation with the residents.
"But it's a lie that the majority is against it, that's not true, in the end we have great relations with the citizens of Kuče, yes, it's true that some people disputed this," Zečević points out.
Zečević says that accusations from the DPS cannot replace the facts and institutions of the system. If there is any doubt about the legality of the procedure, he says, the only place for that is the prosecutor's office, not political press conferences. He adds that he is ready to make every decision and every document available to the competent authorities.
"I tell the gentlemen from DPS to contact the Capital City Property Administration, to see how the legal work went, and if there is anything suspicious there, let the state authorities get involved because this is not a story for the newspapers, this is a story for the prosecutor, so let them contact the gentlemen from the prosecutor's office," said the road director.
As a reminder, the Environmental Protection Agency is currently preparing a study based on which an assessment of the environmental impact of the planned quarry is expected, and the final outcome of that procedure, as stated, is expected in two months.
