The Velje Brdo project, according to Europe Now Movement MP Branka Marković, is a key mechanism for stabilizing the market, which is currently threatened by high prices. At today's session of the Parliament, she asked the Minister of Public Works, Majda Adžović, when citizens will feel concrete benefits.
"To finally give a chance to those who need it most, young people, families, tenants," said Marković.
Marković asked the Minister of Public Affairs, Majda Adžović, whether she had an assessment of whether the start of construction of the Velje Brdo complex would affect the decline in real estate prices in Montenegro.
"A larger supply of available apartments in the long term, and this is a long-term project, will naturally contribute to stabilizing the market and reducing pressure on price increases," said Minister of Public Affairs Majda Adžović.
Adžović pointed out that the Velje brdo project does not only answer the question of the number of apartments, but also the problem of their accessibility.
"The focus is on creating a quality planned and developed space in which citizens will have the opportunity to access affordable and functional housing," said Adžović.
At today's session, Minister of Justice Bojan Božović also answered parliamentary questions. He emphasized that the state is actively working to strengthen the rule of law through planned judicial reforms. Božović announced the expansion of the capacity of the Remand Prison in Podgorica as one of the priorities, which should solve the long-standing problem of overcrowding and provide conditions in line with international standards.
