Prof. Jerkov is a full professor at the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade, a literary critic and director of the University Library "Svetozar Marković". He is currently the president of the jury for the NIN Award, according to the Secretariat.
The lecture, which is being implemented as part of the activities of the Gender Studies Program, starts at 3 pm, and is moderated by Ksenija Rakočević, MA.
"The Institute for Interdisciplinary and Multidisciplinary Studies of the University of Montenegro develops study and research programs that connect different areas of the humanities and social sciences. The aforementioned study program Gender Studies is also being implemented within the Institute, which explores gender, identity, culture and social relations through an interdisciplinary approach, and the plan is to organize a series of public lectures and academic meetings with prominent domestic and regional lecturers in the coming period. Proof of this is the upcoming lecture by Prof. Jerkov, which is part of the activities aimed at encouraging critical thinking, dialogue on literature and culture, as well as a broader understanding of contemporary humanistic perspectives among students and the wider public," the Secretariat for Culture of the Capital City emphasizes.
