Maksim Gorki and Radojica Perović, the most successful schools

The 26th edition of the Podgorica Primary School Championship, organized by the Secretariat for Sports, ended with the football tournaments, after which the trophy award ceremony was held for the most successful teams.

Prisutne šampione i njihove mentore pozdravio je sekretar Sekretartijata za sport, Darko Nikcevic, koji je u svom obraćanju istakao značaj ovakvih manifestacija za razvoj školskog sporta, naglašavajući da su upravo djeca iz osnovnih škola budućnost našeg sporta i društva u cjelini.

On je pohvalio njihov trud, zalaganje i sportski duh koji su pokazali tokom takmičenja, te uputio zahvalnost nastavnicima, trenerima i upravana škola koji svojim radom doprinose razvoju mladih talenata. Posebno je istakao važnost zajedničkog angažmana svih uključenih u realizaciju ove tradicionalne manifestacije, koja iz godine u godinu okuplja veliki broj učesnika i promoviše prave sportske vrijednosti.

During the forty-day competition, in which around 2,000 students from 23 Podgorica elementary schools competed in 10 sports (basketball, football, handball, volleyball, table tennis, swimming, karate, chess and athletics), the best results were achieved by elementary school students from the Maksim Gorki and Radojica Perović schools, while Oktoih also earned a place on the podium.

Cumulative team results (5 points for first place, 3 for second, 1 for third)

  3. Oktoih 17 points (one 1st place, three 2nd places, three 3rd places)

The cups were presented to the most successful by famous athletes and sports workers: basketball players from Buducnost and the Student Center Oleksandr Kovliar and Filip Andjušić, the "golden lioness" Radmila Petrović, Buducnost volleyball player Nađa Nađa Peković, talented football players from Buducnost who, with the cadet national team of Montenegro, achieved an extraordinary feat by qualifying for the European and World Championships, Aleksa Causević and Simon Sošić, director of the Directorate for Sports Zoran Jojić, president of the school sports association Budimir Vukićević, and president of the "Diagonale" Chess Club Radmila Milošević.

During the ceremony, the audience was entertained by promising singer Milica Cvijetić with her vocal skills.
