DPS councilor in the Capital City Assembly, Vladan Arsović, announced that there is suspicion of corrupt practices related to the plans for a quarry in Kuči. He claims that the Putevi company and the Capital City were involved, while in a certain part the involvement of the Government of Montenegro is also mentioned.

According to him, the disputed location was allegedly not planned in documents related to concessions and geological research. They claim that there are documents from the Ministry of Energy and Mining to prove this.

He also states that because of this, an environmental impact assessment study was not conducted, nor were local services, according to the claims, able to officially issue technical conditions for the construction of the quarry.

Arsović also expressed concern about the possible impact on biodiversity and water supply in the area.

"Our opinion is that this is a major affair, or rather a corrupt business in which the Putevi company and the Capital City, and to some extent the Government of Montenegro, participated," said Arsović.

He points out that they have documents that clearly show that this location is not included in the concession plan for geological research.

"Local residents should be especially concerned about this information, because the quarry is located on the route near the water supply reservoir," Arsović said.

"Capital City property is being transferred to private hands"

DPS councilor Andrija Klikovac spoke about the alleged transfer of the capital's property into the hands of a private individual, Radenko Mijović, who, according to Klikovac, was the owner of a plot of land in the Medun settlement.

"The planned quarry does not exist at that location in the official plans or in the concession granting plan," said Klikovac.

He emphasized that almost all the residents of Medun protested against the construction of the quarry due to potential water loss, dust problems, traffic, and damage to local roads.

"We want to discover how the property of the Capital City is passing into the hands of a private individual, Radenko Mijović. We will deliver all this documentation to the Basic State Prosecutor's Office and the Special State Prosecutor's Office today, and we will also forward the documentation to all media outlets so that they have all the detailed information regarding this," Klikovac said.

He called on Mujović to dismiss Zečević, and that if he did not do so, he would consider him an accomplice in this action.

Klikovac clarified what amount was involved.

"The total revenue from the sale of housing units is estimated at 9.2 million euros, at a price of 2,8000 euros per square meter. The previous land owner receives 25 percent in the housing units, which would amount to about two million euros," said Klikovac.

He emphasized that Mijović, who estimated the land at around half a million euros, will realize an overnight value of approximately two million euros after the construction of the facility.
