UNESCO declared March 21st, 1999, as World Poetry Day, emphasizing that "the purpose of declaring World Poetry Day is to contribute to the promotion of the reading, writing, publication and study of poetry throughout the world, as well as to encourage national, regional and international poetry movements."
Poets will speak about poetical determinants on the given topic, about poetry, which is the most important atom in the world: Ranislav Ackovic, Radomir Milic i Milica King, vice president of UKCG and editor of the UKCG "Word" Tribune, and then all the poets present will recite their verses on a common theme.
The evening will be held on Thursday, March 26th at 7 p.m. at the Monastery of St. Simeon the Myrrh-Bearer, Nemanjića Street, Nemanjin-grad, Predgrad 31.
