"Namely, the operationally interesting person RP (42) from Nikšić, who was wanted pursuant to an order of the Basic Court in Nikšić for the purpose of serving a six-month prison sentence, was located and deprived of liberty by members of the Nikšić police, and taken to the UIKS to serve the aforementioned prison sentence," the police said.
Also, by carrying out increased activities within their jurisdiction in order to locate wanted persons, Nikšić police officers, in coordination with police officers of the Border Police Sector - Regional Border Police Center "South", located and deprived of liberty a person who was wanted pursuant to the order of the Higher Court in Podgorica. Namely, a person of operational interest IT (44) from Nikšić was deprived of liberty, in order to ensure his presence in the criminal proceedings being conducted against him before the aforementioned Court on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of criminal association.
He was brought to the Higher Court in Podgorica for further jurisdiction.
"Through coordinated activities undertaken by police officers, two individuals who were wanted at the national level were successfully located and deprived of their liberty. The Police Directorate continues with decisive and intensive measures aimed at finding and prosecuting all individuals wanted, both at the national and international levels, thus further contributing to the security of citizens and the rule of law," the police concluded.
