Podgorica: OKG member arrested on suspicion of usury, watches worth over 100,000 euros seized from him

The Police Directorate announced that a member of the OKG MR in Podgorica was arrested on suspicion of usury, and wristwatches worth over 100,000 euros were seized from him.

"Officers of the Regional Security Center "Centar", the Security Department of Podgorica, carrying out intensified targeted activities against members of organized crime groups in cooperation and coordination with the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, deprived of liberty a high-ranking member of an organized crime group from the territory of Podgorica, suspected of usury to the detriment of several individuals from the Capital City," the police said.

On that occasion, MR (40) was arrested, who is suspected of committing the crime he is charged with by continuously, in the period from August 2025 to January 2026, using coercion, physical force and threats, insults and physical attacks and violence against the injured parties, as well as taking advantage of their difficult financial situation, difficult circumstances and necessity, contracting and securing disproportionate financial gain for himself.

"Acting on the order of the investigating judge of the Basic Court in Podgorica, police officers today searched the apartment and other premises used by the suspects at two locations, during which they found and seized 175 wristwatches worth over 100,000 euros, including expensive watches from the Rolex, Braytling, Franc Muller, Emporio Armani, Casio, Citizen and others, as well as communication devices, a laptop and a passenger motor vehicle, the WV Golf VII," the UP said.

The MR will be submitted within the legal deadline, along with a criminal report, to the acting prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica for further jurisdiction.

"The Police Directorate continues its activities aimed at combating all forms of crime in order to raise the level of security and protect injured parties and victims of criminal acts," the police concluded.
