"Officers of the Regional Security Center "West", during intensified planned activities aimed at finding firearms, ammunition and explosives in illegal possession, as well as at suppressing street distribution of narcotics, found and confiscated three firearms - a pistol and two rifles, ten rounds of ammunition, two frames and about 30 grams of marijuana," the police said.
Namely, as part of the international police operation "Empact", police officers from this Regional Security Center conducted searches of apartments, houses and other premises in several locations, during which weapons and ammunition were found in three locations in three cities.
"Officers of the Nikšić Security Department, acting in accordance with the order initiated and obtained by the investigating judge of the Basic Court in Nikšić, searched the apartment and other premises used by IB (58) from Nikšić, during which a "Glock" pistol, cal. 9mm, two magazines and 10 rounds of ammunition of the appropriate caliber, as well as an expired firearms license were found and seized. The competent state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Nikšić was notified of the incident, who will later declare his qualifications," the police said.
Also, police officers of the Pljevlja Security Department, pursuant to previously initiated and obtained orders, conducted searches of buildings at two locations, during which a search of the apartment and other premises used by SA resulted in the discovery of a hunting rifle of the brand "Franchi" model Affinity MAH5, cal. 12×76, for which this person possessed a valid firearms license in his name. The aforementioned hunting rifle was temporarily seized in order to undertake further official and procedural actions.
"Police officers from the Plužine Police Station, pursuant to an initiated and obtained warrant, searched the apartment and other premises used by IB, during which a "Baikal" hunting rifle was found and seized, for which the firearms license for possession and carrying weapons had expired. The named person will be issued a misdemeanor warrant in accordance with the Weapons Act," the police said.
In addition to all of the above, police officers from the Nikšić Security Department, in the center of Nikšić, checked a vehicle driven by PN (18) from Nikšić, during which they found and confiscated about ten grams of the narcotic drug marijuana from him. Also, police officers in Nikšić checked a vehicle driven by BT (41) from Nikšić, in which about 19 grams of marijuana were found. Misdemeanor charges were filed against these persons with the competent Misdemeanor Court, in accordance with the Law on the Abuse of Narcotic Drugs.
