"This is defined by the Decision on the allocation of funds for medically assisted fertilization, which specifies that funds for costs related to the exercise of the right to infertility treatment through MPO procedures have been allocated to five married or unmarried couples who have already exercised their right to infertility treatment in this way, at the expense of mandatory health insurance costs in the amount of 15,000.00 euros, while financial support in the amount of 13,500.00 euros is allocated to nine married or unmarried couples who are starting or have already started infertility treatment in this way," said the Municipality of Bar.
The allocated financial resources can be used exclusively for the treatment of infertility through MPO procedures with homologous and heterologous in vitro fertilization (IVF and ISCI), as well as for the costs incurred during the implementation of this procedure, which is an expression of the comprehensive approach of the Municipality of Bar and understanding of the complexity of the MPO process, as well as the need to provide citizens with continuous and adequate support in this case.
They add that the Municipality of Bar has been implementing the measure of financial support for infertility treatment through the MPO program for four years, as part of a broader strategy aimed at strengthening pro-natality policies and providing systemic support to the family, as well as creating a strong social protection system.
"It is also a support service that makes the Bar local government stand out among Montenegrin municipalities and cities, especially considering the fact that since the beginning of its implementation, as many as 81 married or common-law couples, or women who are not in a married or common-law union, have been supported through this program, which directly contributes to improving the quality of life of citizens and the demographic strengthening of the local community," they point out in the statement.
