According to him, it is particularly important that tender procedures are launched as soon as possible, so that the implementation of these projects can begin without delay.
"Planned investments include a number of infrastructure and development projects - from the construction of a bridge over the Lim River, improving the water supply infrastructure and digitalizing the water supply system, building a recycling yard with a sorting plant, continuing the development of the Lim River bank, building a kindergarten and an accompanying road, to projects that will be financed from the state capital budget, such as the Buča water supply system, the Daspiće–Zagrad water supply system, regulating the Makva River and continuing the bypass, building the city market, reconstructing Luška Street, the road through Budimlja, and purchasing a hyperbaric chamber for the hospital," said Dabetić.
He said that the implementation of these projects will have multiple significance - they will improve communal infrastructure, environmental protection, transport connectivity and the quality of public services, which is crucial for the long-term development of the north of the country.
He added that MERS strongly supports the realization of these investments and that the competent institutions are expected to initiate the necessary procedures as soon as possible, so that citizens can feel the concrete benefits as soon as possible.
"At the same time, through the OP IPA 2024–2027 program framework, as well as the Adaptation Fund funds, we plan additional investments in environmental protection, climate resilience and sustainable development projects in the north of Montenegro, with which we want to further strengthen the development of this region and reduce regional disparities. The development of Berane is an important step in the broader process of strengthening and balanced development of the north of the country," said Dabetić.
