"Today, citizens are paying for what individual officials have designed, because without a preferential electricity price, no one would enter this project. It is important for citizens to know this. There is no one so well-intentioned towards the state as to build energy facilities without securing extra profit for themselves," Abazović pointed out.
He emphasized that by the end of 2031, citizens will pay the owner of the Možura wind farm around 144 million euros.
"We believe that the parliamentary Inquiry Committee for collecting information on the actions of state bodies and other entities during the construction of the wind farm at the Možura site will uncover numerous acts that indicate corruption and are connected to the murder of journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia in Malta. According to the contract concluded by the DPS government in 2010, EPCG pays the Možura wind farm 96 euros per megawatt-hour, and sells it to citizens at half the price, i.e. 42 or 43 euros per megawatt-hour. This was a lucrative business for certain individuals and legal entities and we believe that the Committee will uncover this. The state should seek compensation from the Spanish company Audax Renovables, or "Ferse", as it was called at the time the contract was concluded," Abazović said.
He concludes that based on the scheme of this corruption case, it can be concluded that a former long-time minister was behind it and that, as he states, the corruption amounted to around four million euros, and that this money was extracted through an intermediary company that existed exclusively for these purposes.
