"The monograph, published by the Cultural Center of the Royal Capital of Cetinje, is not just a collection of photographs - it is a kind of historical topography and emotional portrait of the city. Krsto Đuričić's photographs depict Cetinje through light and shadow, silence and dignity, recording moments of everyday life, but also key historical events that shaped the city. Each frame reflects the character of Cetinje and its unquenchable energy," the statement reads.
The monograph was prepared by Vesko Pejović, who, through carefully selected photographs and thematic units, reconstructed the life of the city over three decades. Through his selection and narration, the reader discovers layers of time, people, streets, squares and stories preserved through the lens of one of the most important chroniclers of Cetinje life.
"At the center of the monograph is Cetinje – a city that has never posed for time. A city that carries defiance, strength and dignity in every stone and every street; a city that lives its truth, preserves its history and tirelessly fights to preserve its identity."
The promotion will be addressed by publicist Marko Špadijer, artist Luka Lagator, author and editor Vesko Pejović, who will tell the audience about the creation of the monograph, the process of selecting photographs, and the significance of this precious historical document.
The monograph "Cetinje 1950–1980" represents not only a visual tribute to the city, but also a precious record that connects the past and the present, preserving the memory of the period that shaped the identity of the Royal Capital," they said in a statement.
