As part of this phase of the project, Teqball tables were delivered to the "Niko Rolović" Gymnasium, the Secondary School of Economics and Catering and the Secondary Vocational School in Bar, and the delivery was made by Dragan Marković, State Secretary at the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation. On that occasion, a presentation of this sport was also organized for students and teaching staff, during which students had the opportunity to learn about the basics of Teqball through a practical demonstration, which aroused great interest and further confirmed its potential in the school environment.
This activity represents a continuation of the systematic approach to the development of school sports infrastructure, which is being implemented in cooperation between the Ministry, the International Teqball Federation (FITEQ) and the Teqball Association of Montenegro. The Ministry will donate five Teqball tables, FITEQ an additional five, while the Teqball Association of Montenegro will provide one table, which will enable all secondary schools in the southern region to be equipped with Teqball tables through joint action.
Speaking about the significance of this initiative, Marković emphasized:
"It is a special pleasure for me to be in Bar today and to attend the awarding of Teqball tables to these institutions on behalf of the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation. The Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation is working intensively to strengthen the educational infrastructure, including strengthening the sports infrastructure in schools, with the aim of developing healthy lifestyles and sports habits among our students, and enabling students to spend their free time in a quality way in educational institutions."
Milena Bajagić, director of the Niko Rolović Gymnasium, also pointed out the importance of cooperation between institutions and the education system:
"Cooperation between educational institutions, the Ministry of Education of Montenegro and the business sector is of key importance for creating a more modern and stimulating educational environment. What is particularly important is that such cooperation leads to a higher quality educational process, both in our school and at the level of the entire country."
This donation is of great importance – we received a Teqball table that will improve physical education classes and motivate students to do more sports, foster team spirit and develop healthy lifestyles. In this way, we further strengthen and valorize the role of physical education in our school.”
The director of the Secondary Vocational School in Bar, Vučko Asović, pointed out:
"Teqball is one of the new sports that develops precision, creativity and team spirit. Thanks to this equipment, students will have the opportunity to learn more about this sport, and I believe that among them there will be those who will discover their talent."
This equipment will be a gathering place for students, where sportsmanship, rivalry, but also friendship will be developed, which is an important prerequisite for their healthy development and creativity. Investing in sports is investing in young people, because it gives them space for healthy lifestyles and a safer future.
In the coming period, the Ministry will deliver Teqball equipment to the Junior High School "Ivan Goran Kovačić" in Herceg Novi, as well as the Kotor Gymnasium, bringing the implementation of the program in the southern region to its final stage and further closer to the goal of full availability of Teqball in all secondary schools, with the plan that by the end of the year all secondary schools in Montenegro will be equipped with Teqball tables.
As part of further activities to promote Teqball, the first Montenegrin Teqball League tournament in 2026 will be held on April 18th, starting at 11 a.m. at the Secondary Mixed School in Golubovci.
