The organization, they claim in the statement, will operate under the auspices of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Montenegro, with the primary mission of improving the socio-economic position and preserving the labor and legal status of all employees.
"Filip Majić was unanimously elected president of the union," it added.
The newly formed organization says that the SSZZZCG is not the result of divisions, but an expression of trade union pluralism and the desire for a more modern approach to trade union activity. The focus of the work will be on absolute transparency, accountability to the membership and more efficient participation in the creation of collective agreements.
"Our goal is to strengthen collective consciousness and the overall position of employees. We believe that healthy competition within the trade union movement leads to better quality solutions, better protection of rights and a wider range of benefits for every individual in the system," the Union of Trade Unions of Montenegro emphasizes.
The key pillars of the activities of the Union of Trade Unions of Montenegro in the coming period will be social dialogue, active and constructive participation in negotiations with the Government of Montenegro and relevant ministries to protect jobs and living standards, financial transparency, regular and detailed information to the membership about all activities and the use of union funds, improvement of living standards, development of a modern system of mutual assistance, more favorable lending conditions and rehabilitation programs, spa treatment, and organized vacations for employees.
"Legal protection - uncompromising defense of the right to free trade union organization, with the emphasis that administrative obligations must not and will not be an obstacle to the exercise of trade union rights. The independent trade union of the Employment Service of Montenegro remains open to cooperation with all stakeholders who share the vision of a fairer working environment, conveying that solidarity and professionalism are the only path to a stable future for employees in the Institute," the statement reads.
