Alternative Montenegro has sent the Clinical Center of Montenegro a request to provide copies of educational certificates of head nurses and technicians in the departments of the Clinical Center of Montenegro, they announced on their Facebook account from Alternative Montenegro.

"Namely, a significant number of head nurses and technicians refused to allow access to their diplomas, demanding that their documents not be submitted. What is additionally surprising is the fact that such a request cannot prevent the submission of documentation, but may only temporarily postpone the procedure, because by order of the second-instance body and the Agency for Personal Data Protection and Free Access to Information, the documentation will have to be submitted in just a few weeks. In other words, they have only postponed the inevitable," said Alternative.

That is precisely why, as they say, this move leaves a bitter impression and raises serious questions.

"If someone does a responsible job in the public health system, if they manage a department where Montenegrin citizens are treated, why would they have any problem with the public seeing their diploma? Transparency in public health MUST NOT AND WILL NOT BE A SUBJECT OF NEGOTIATION, HIDDEN OR AVOIDANCE!", they state in the announcement.

That is why, as they state, today Alternativa Crna Gora publishes a list of departments where head nurses and technicians have not given consent to inspect their diplomas, and you "look them in the eye and ask why they didn't do it when you needed them."

As they point out, Alternative Montenegro will specifically devote much more time, attention and checks to these cases in the coming period.

"Because when someone shows such a willingness to hide a document that should be completely indisputable, then the question naturally arises, is there a reason for that? Citizens have the right to ask a very simple question, what is it that you don't want the public to see? We sincerely hope that behind all this is just a miscalculation and a bad decision, and not something much more serious," they emphasized.

Because otherwise, they believe, it raises a question that no one in the healthcare system should even consider: is there perhaps an attempt to hide something that should never have existed? And when the documentation is submitted, each case will be carefully reviewed.

"Citizens of Montenegro have the right to know who manages the departments where they and their families are treated, who treats us and to whom we give the most sacred thing, life and health, of us and our loved ones! Attached is a list of those who did not want to give their consent, and who postponed the same documentation for only a few weeks," concluded Alternative.
