World number two Janik Siner started with a victory at this year's Masters in Miami.

The 2024 champion and finalist in 2021 and 2023 advanced to the third round after routinely defeating the best BiH player, Damir Džumhur, in two sets – 6:3, 6:3.

In the match that lasted 70 minutes, the Italian made three breaks, one in the first and two in the second set, and allowed his rival one break chance that he nullified.

His next opponent will be the winner of the Korentan Mute – Tomaš Mahač match.

As a reminder, Siner did not play in Miami last year due to a doping suspension, so he has already earned new points.

The top seed in the Florida tournament is Carlos Alcaraz, and the title is being defended by Jakub Menšik.
