The derby of the round will be played in Petrovac, where the home team of the same name will host their neighbors from Bar, the team Mornar. Barani occupies second place in the table with a point more than today's rival, who took over third place from Dečić in the last round. Both teams enter the duel in excellent spirits – Petrovac is on a series of four consecutive victories, while Mornar has tied two triumphs, including a convincing victory over the team Budućnost (3:0) in the previous round.
Petrovac footballer Marko Franeta believes in the continuation of the series.
"We are currently in good shape and are ready to welcome the game with Mornar. The match, which certainly has its weight as a derby, gains even more importance due to the positions we are in, which, along with our audience tomorrow, gives us additional momentum to go into the break with five consecutive wins. I know we will do our best to emerge from such a challenge as winners," said Franeta.
The reliable goalie for Mornar, Benjamin Krijestarac, is expecting a tough match.
"We expect another tough match. We know that Petrovac has been playing very well since the championship resumed. It will be demanding because of the pitch, but if we perform like we did in the previous two matches, we have a great chance of playing a good match," said Krijestarac, who was called up to the Montenegrin youth national team.
"Being called up to the national team always means a lot to me and I will always give my best when I play for Montenegro. Wearing the coat of arms with pride is a special honor, because I have the opportunity to play for this country. I was not born here, but my roots are from here," Krijestarac emphasized.
Championship leader Sutjeska will try to continue their winning streak against Mladost Lob.bet. The team from Nikšić is on a three-game winning streak and has a seven-point advantage over second-placed Mornar, while the team from Donjo Gorica is first above the play-off zone with four points more than Arsenal. Sutjeska has won both of their previous meetings this season.
Sutjeska coach Milorad Peković emphasizes that he is not thinking about the title yet.
"It will definitely be difficult... every game is difficult because everyone is fighting for points. I'm not thinking about the cup, I'm just thinking about the next opponent," says the former Montenegrin international.
Peković spoke highly of his next opponent.
"We know they are a good team, they are getting into shape, they have good and quality players, especially up front. They can always be dangerous and cause problems, so we will try to prepare and play as well as possible," concluded the strategist of Nikšić.
Current champion Buducnost is visiting last-placed Bokelj. The team from Podgorica suffered a convincing defeat against Mornar in the last round, while the team from Kotor is on a streak of four consecutive defeats, so this duel is of great importance for both teams. Interestingly, in the first two matches this season, the away team won – Buducnost in Kotor, and Bokelj in Podgorica.
Buducnost midfielder Danilo Vukanić emphasizes that the duel will be demanding, primarily on a psychological level.
"The match in Kotor will be demanding in every sense. First of all, psychologically, because we need a win in order to continue the fight for Europe. There are no easy games in our league, every match is a story in itself... We know that Bokelj is not in a good rhythm, but we took it very seriously... We need to achieve victory through joint efforts," said Vukanić.
He warns that the poor form of his rivals should not be misleading.
"Bokelj did start the spring poorly, but every team varies... They have quality, they know what they are doing, but the results are not following them. We have to be organized, focused in defense and aggressive in attack. I believe we have the capacity for that," believes the promising footballer of the current champion.
Ahead of the break, a possible triumph would have great significance.
"We want a victory, it would mean a lot to us before the break... to keep up with Europe and later through direct duels to get closer to the top," said Vukanić.
Dečić will be visiting Arsenal in Tivat. Tuzani were defeated by Sutjeska in the last round, while Arsenal won against Bokelj and are looking for new points in the fight for survival.
In the northern derby, Jedinstvo will be visiting Jezera in Berane. Both teams enter the match after two consecutive losses, and this season they have won one match each.
