Montenegrin boxing representative Vuk Dabović has advanced to the semifinals of the 35th international youth tournament "Adriatic Pearl", which brought together 130 fighters from 18 countries in Budva. The member of BK Power boxing defeated Petar Sandić from Serbia in the quarterfinals of the 65 kg category tonight, by a 4:1 decision, and will fight in the semifinals on Tuesday against Kazakhstan's Akzhurek Kalabay, who came within a step of a medal with a victory over Romanian Andrei Marku by a unanimous decision.

The Montenegrin boxer imposed his rhythm from the beginning of the match and showed that he was ready to fight for a medal. In the rest of the fight, Dabović continued to control the events in the ring, was more precise and active, skillfully used his rival's attacks, and in the remaining two rounds he kept the initiative and deservedly achieved victory and placement among the top four in his category.

Montenegrin national team coach Nikola Ruzic He pointed out that this was a great success for the young Montenegrin boxer.

-Dabović showed quality, discipline and great fighting spirit. From the first round he imposed his style and fully deservedly won a place in the semi-finals. He respected the agreement from the locker room and the tactics we prepared, since we knew Sandić well, as a persistent and quality fighter, who also has medals from European championships. This is a significant result in a strong international tournament and confirmation that we have talented guys coming up, said Ruzic.
