The ministry has been under pressure in recent months over accusations that it is withholding some of the Epstein documentation from the public.
Trump's attorney general will be questioned
The announcement of the release of the new documents comes a day after the US House Oversight Committee approved a motion to issue a subpoena to Attorney General Pam Bondi.
The committee wants to question Bondi about the way the Justice Department conducted its investigations related to Epstein and about the documents it is required by law to release to the public.
Republican: This is one of the biggest cover-ups in American history
Republican Rep. Nancy Mays, who proposed the measure, accused the department of failing to disclose all documents to the public.
"Attorney General Pam Bondi claims that the US Department of Justice (DOJ) has released all the documents from the Epstein files. This is not true. The Epstein case is one of the largest cover-ups in American history," Mays wrote on the social network X.
