Primorac water polo players have advanced to the quarterfinals of the Eurocup!

In the round of 16, the team from Kotor was better than Jug from Dubrovnik in a two-legged match – Anastasios Kehajas' team won the first match in Podgorica (14:13), and tonight they celebrated even more convincingly in Zagreb (14:12).

Primorac entered the match brilliantly, taking a 3:0 lead, and then a 4:1 lead after the opening eight minutes.

At the very start of the second half, the Montenegrin representative increased the lead to 5:1, and then to 6:2 and 7:3. This was followed by a 5:0 run by the Dubrovnik team, who took the lead for the first time in the game at the beginning of the third quarter – 8:7. Primorac was scoreless for more than eight minutes during that period.

It was all over with three and a half minutes left when Marko Mršić scored from the penalty spot, his fourth goal of the game, to increase the score to 13:10.

The most efficient player for the winners was Marko Mrsic with four goals. Drasko Brguljan and Djuro Radovic each scored one less. Tim Perov, Nikola Brkic, Balsa Vuckovic and Jusuke Inaba scored once each. Dmitrije Risticevic had six saves.

On the other side, Vlah Pavlić scored five goals. Marko Žuvela scored three.

Primorac will play against Radnički from Kragujevac in the quarterfinals. The first match will be played in the ancient city of Kotor, while the return match will be played 10 days later (March 28) in Kragujevac. The vice-champion of Montenegro has lost to Kragujevac both times this season – 13:7 in Kotor and 15:9 in Kragujevac.

If Kotor overcomes Radnički, they would play the better team from the two-legged match Marseille – Sabadell in the semi-finals.
