The final round of the league stage, the second-best regional competition, has no significant results for Miodrag Kadija's team, which has won seven matches, while the Slovenians, with a score of 5-2, are playing a crucial match for qualification.
The duel against Helios is also the return to games for Podgorica Bemax after two weeks, but due to national team commitments, Mašan Vrbica and Danilo Ivanović were not with the team in the previous days.
-After a 15-day break, we are returning to the games, and before the denouement on the domestic stage, where the decisive matches follow, we have a duel against Helios. Although it does not mean anything to us in terms of results, we will certainly do our best to leave the best possible impression at the end of the season in the ABA2 league. The victory over Radnički gave us great confidence and I believe that this match can also be of great use to us at the end of the season – said Miodrad Kadija, coach of Podgorica Bemax, for the club website.
Denil Krnić, a player for Podgorica Bemax, believes that this duel should be used as an overture before the final matches on the domestic stage.
-We used the break to prepare as best we could for the end of the season, even though we weren't all together because of the national team. We certainly have a tough job ahead of us, because Helios has only two losses, but regardless, we want a win to end it all – Krnić is clear.
The Podgorica Bemax – Helios match will be played tomorrow at the Bemax Arena, starting at 6 p.m.
