The decision to revoke the consent to resolve property-legal relations with Radenko Mijović, for the purposes of building a quarry in Kuči, has been submitted to the assembly procedure by the DPS councilors' club. They expect their proposal to be adopted at the next session of the Capital City Assembly.
„Mi smatramo da tu odluku treba poništiti prije nego što ima negativno odnosno štetno dejstvo za građane Podgorice. Smatramo da će predlog podržati gradonačelnik Podgorice“, izrazio je očekivanje odbornik DPS-a Andrija Klikovac.
The parliamentary majority, however, claims that political interests are hidden behind the DPS initiative, and they recall previous deals the city had with certain construction companies.
"They are really hurt by the hundreds of millions of euros that were ripped off from the Bemax company. We are witnesses to how much the Bemax company profited at the expense of citizens and how many hundreds of millions of euros were poured into that company, and now it has stopped," said the New Serbian Democracy councilor in the Capital City Assembly, Jelena Milosevic.
Milošević reminds that the location for the quarry was not chosen by the management of Roads, but by a team of experts in the field, and emphasizes that the Capital City will benefit from this project in many ways over the next fifty years.
