During the conversation, opinions were exchanged on the current security situation in the Middle East and the implications of the latest developments in the region.
Ibrahimović emphasized that Montenegro is closely monitoring developments following the Israeli and American operations in Iran and the subsequent escalation in the region.
"I sent words of support and solidarity to the countries affected by the attacks, condemning the violation of their sovereignty and territorial integrity. At this moment, it is of particular importance to calm tensions and avoid further escalating moves that could further jeopardize the stability of the region," Ibrahimović said.
He reiterated that Montenegro supports all efforts aimed at protecting civilians, critical infrastructure, as well as the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states in the region, emphasizing the need for responsible action and restraint by all actors.
"It is crucial to intensify diplomatic efforts to restore security and stability in the Middle East, which remains crucial for broader regional and global security. Montenegro, as a committed Euro-Atlantic ally, will continue to support credible international efforts aimed at de-escalation, dialogue and long-term stability," Ibrahimović said.
The interlocutors from the UAE and Oman thanked Montenegro for its support and confirmed their countries' commitment to preserving stability and reducing tensions in the region. They stressed the readiness of the competent authorities to provide assistance to Montenegrin citizens, if necessary.
