Commenting on the absence of the Democratic People's Party from the talks scheduled by the SEP, which concerned consultations on the vice president of the Capital City Assembly, Milošević said that they wanted to avoid a situation in which the Capital City would be blocked and paralyzed and where compulsory administration would be introduced.
"We are someone who is trying to propose an optimal solution. With the certain departure of the city council president to the government of Milojko Spajić, this city will be left without a president and deputy president of the parliament. We believe that the procedure for electing a new president at this stage would be very complicated, requiring many more prerequisites that we currently do not have," said Milošević.

“Naša ideja je bila da animiramo javnost da shvati da je to borba protiv disfunkcionalnosti u Skupštini Glavnog grada. Ovakvo funkcionisanje vodi prinudnoj upravi, koja je po našem mišljenju, jako loša za grad. Izbor potpredsjednika bi omogućio dalje funkcionisanje Skupštine i samog grada, do izbora novog predsjednika“, kazao je Milošević.
Milošević stated that they had invited and asked their opposition colleagues to talk today at their party's premises and that the meeting would take place at 12 noon.
"We have confirmation from the Democratic Party of Socialists, the European Union, Preokret will not come to that meeting, Preokret is pursuing some of its own policies that are often not the clearest to us, but that is their legitimate right. As for URE, they will also not be at that meeting, and as for DNP, we, as a serious party, have accepted that DNP is, declaratively, an opposition party and we firmly believe that they are, especially considering their general vocabulary when it comes to power, both at the state and local levels. They will not attend the meeting, but I have no doubt in their democratic capacity to support what will be a common opposition position during the vote," Milošević said.

Commenting on the SEP initiative, Šušić emphasized that the initiative is legitimate, that we should have a vice president of the city assembly.
"That position is vacant and certainly needs to be filled. I don't think that was the practice in previous convocations, nor that it was intended that that position would belong to the opposition. I wouldn't bet that the opposition representative they agree on can get the necessary majority," said Šušić.

As for the initiative for dismissal itself, he said that he expected that the Party of European Progress, as the youngest offshoot of the Democratic Party of Socialists, would have the strength and enough innovation to change the principle of a futile opposition initiative that is not aimed at anything concrete, in essence, and not to extend this platform that has existed for a long time in the opposition benches in the Capital.
"The constant submission of some initiatives to shorten the mandate, for a vote of no confidence that all of them do not pass, but in this way a political story is kept alive that tires me quite a bit and I am very inclined not to attend that session at which, with such an opposition, we can't possibly get to some essential topics where we could fundamentally differ on some positions, where we could hear some well-founded criticism. They spend their entire mandate dealing with whether we have a majority and how stable it is and whether its mandate will be shortened. Propose some essential decision, something that is important for the functioning of the city," said Šušić.
