During a tour of Konik, the mayor officially handed over the new pedestrian and vehicle bridge that connects Španskih Boraca Street with Vreli Ribnički and the area towards Kakaricka Gora.
"Today, we added two new infrastructure facilities to the list of successfully implemented projects of this city administration. The new bridge on Konik, which we handed over to citizens for use, is of exceptional importance because it connects several important traffic routes and facilitates the daily functioning of this part of the city," said Mujović, adding that the value of the investment was around 350,000 euros.
In addition, the mayor toured the completed reconstruction works on Radovan Zogović Street at the Old Airport.
"The rehabilitation of this street has been carried out in full and represents a kind of rounding off of the infrastructure works that we previously carried out on Veljko Vlahovića Boulevard and Miloša Obilića Street. This, I would say, is the final point when it comes to this part of the Old Airport," the mayor emphasized and announced new projects that will soon be implemented.
"We will begin work on the renovation of Vojislava Grujića Street after the Easter holidays. We have also fully prepared the start of the reconstruction of a part of Cara Lazara Street, from Zmaj Jovina to Radovan Zogovića Street, in the part next to the school where the roadway is in very poor condition. The contract with the contractor will be signed in the coming days, after which the works will begin very soon," said Mujović, adding that city services are working on the development of project documentation for new roads at the Old Airport.
"We are preparing projects for Bohinjska Street, Street of Unknown Heroes, as well as the continuation of Cara Lazara Street to Aerodromska Street. With the implementation of these interventions, this part of the city will get a modern and representative appearance, which the citizens deserve," said Mujović.
The Mayor also reminded of the current works in other parts of Podgorica, emphasizing the dynamics of activities in the field.
"Just two days ago, we started work on the renovation of the Crvene stijene stadium in Tološi. Today we are at Konik and the Old Airport, tomorrow we are opening two new streets in Zagorič, and we are continuing activities in the city center. I think it is clear that work is going full steam ahead in Podgorica," said the mayor, emphasizing that the city administration remains committed to concrete results and intensive work in the interests of all citizens.
"Only work and results are what citizens expect from us, and that is the standard we adhere to in our daily work," concluded Mujović.
