Former Supreme Court President Vesna Medenica, who was sentenced in January to ten years in prison and 50,000 euros in the first instance for unlawfully influencing colleagues, has had none of her assets frozen, according to a list of real estate properties that the Adria portal has had access to.

Judging by this data, Medenica officially owns only an inherited house and yard in the Podgorica neighborhood of Zagorič.

The house, which occupies a total of 114 square meters, contains two residential units – a 60-square-meter apartment on the ground floor and an 86-square-meter apartment on the first floor.

There is a 334 square meter yard surrounding the property.

"There are no encumbrances or restrictions," the former head of the judiciary's real estate listing reads.

Unlike hers, the entire assets of her son Miloš Medenica, also sentenced in the first instance to 10 years and two months in prison and 50,000 euros for committing several criminal offenses, have been temporarily blocked.

A temporary security measure - a ban on disposal and use - was registered at the beginning of April on half of a one-story, 102-square-meter building in Kolašin, which he shares ownership with his sister Marija.

Miloš and Marija Medenica inherited this building, including a 356-square-meter yard and a 64-square-meter outbuilding, according to the property deed.

On the ground floor of the building there is a three-bedroom apartment measuring 82 square meters, the same size as the four-room residential unit on the floor above.

The same measure - a ban on disposal and use - was also registered on a one-story, 187-square-meter building in Kolašin that was purchased by fugitive Medenica and of which he is the sole owner.

And that building, according to data from the Real Estate Administration, has two apartments of 90 square meters each – one with six rooms, and the other with five rooms.

By decision of the Higher Court in Podgorica, Medenica's 112-square-meter yard at the same location, as well as a 21-square-meter auxiliary building, were also blocked.

This fugitive is temporarily unable to dispose of the purchased meadows in Kolašin, which occupy a total of 1,144 square meters.

The same is true of Medenica's property in Podgorica - in the "Lipe" building in the city center, two apartments have been blocked for him, a two-bedroom apartment of 91 square meters and a one-bedroom apartment of 68 square meters. In one of these two properties, Medenica served the house arrest that was ordered for him on October 17 last year when he left the Spuž Remand Prison.

He escaped from house arrest on January 28, just before the verdict was to be pronounced against him, his mother Vesna and the criminal group he formed. In addition to that crime, he was also convicted of cigarette smuggling, unlawful influence by aiding and abetting, and obstruction of evidence. In the meantime, an international arrest warrant has been issued for him.
