According to the calculation, Eurodiesel now costs 1.50 euros per liter, and gasoline prices have also increased: Eurosuper 98 is 1.5 euros, while Eurosuper 95 has reached a price of 1.47 per liter.
The price of heating oil will increase by 15 cents to EUR 1.42.
Energy Minister Admir Šahmanović said yesterday that we have enough fuel for the next two months. He appealed not to stockpile unnecessarily.
Prime Minister Milojko Spajić said that the Government has strategic reserves of petroleum products.
"Thanks to the Government's reforms since last year, Montenegro has strategic reserves of petroleum products, which represent an additional mechanism for security of supply, and together with commercial stocks held by individual economic entities, they ensure market stability," Spajić pointed out.
Experts warn that a prolonged price increase could cause additional inflation. The heaviest crowds were recorded in the evening hours at gas stations in Podgorica and other cities, with citizens waiting in lines to fill their tanks before the price increase.
